New Delhi: With a twin celebration for Hero MotoCorp, the company marked its 10 crore (100 million) production of bikes and scooters on Thursday along with the launch of six new celebration edition model of two-wheelers at its manufacturing facility at Gurugram.
The 100 millionth bike, the Xtreme 160R, was rolled-out of the Company's manufacturing facility in Haridwar, Uttarakhand, as the historic moment was inaugurated in the virtual presence of Dr Pawan Munjal, Chairman and CEO of Hero MotoCorp and Bollywood Actor Shahrukh Khan from Guragram manufacturing unit.
"This significant landmark is an affirmation of the inherent capabilities in India and Hero's Brand appeal. We have been making in India, for the world – and this milestone is an acknowledgement of the customers' preference for Hero across geographies, demographics and generations," Dr Munjal said during a live broadcast of the inaugural.
"Hero MotoCorp has been at the fore-front of providing mobility to the aspirations of millions around the world and the achievement of this milestone is the success of evolving engineering, operational excellence and sustainable practices. It is also the success of the holistic ecosystem built on trust and belief that has grown along with this company. Most importantly, this is a celebration of the customers who continue to shower their love and faith on Hero," he further said.
The live telecast gave the viewers a virtual tour of the three manufacturing units of Hero, at Neemrana, Gurugram and Haridwar, as each unit in the three locations paced its way to build the 10 crore (th) two-wheeler.
